OVERVIEW

The School of Science, Technology & Engineering maintains a strong science and mathematics foundation, as well as an understanding of computer programming. The School of Science, Technology & Engineering focuses on majors related to Architectural Design, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Biotechnology, and Construction. Careers in these fields are projected to be in high demand for years to come, so students in the School of Science, Technology & Engineering should be well-positioned for their future and should expect to pursue career in either field, as well as pursue post-secondary education at technical schools, community colleges, and/or universities throughout Georgia.

 

To complete a career pathway in the School of Science, Technology & Engineering students must take three elective courses beyond the core requirements specified for graduation. The courses must be in one of the following identified majors.

 

 

MAJORS

There are several exciting majors offered in this school from which students can choose. The majors for the School of Science, Technology & Engineering include:

  • Engineering Drafting & Design

  • Architechtural Drawing & Design

  • Biotechnology Research & Development

  • Integrated Manufacturing Technology

  • Construction & Management

 

 

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Students will be encouraged to become active members of national student CTAE organizations such as, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), SkillsUSA, or Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). These organizations will provide students with the opportunities to further develop their leadership, creativity, and computer programming and web development skills.
